Lagrange Street is the only place to be if you enjoy Polish music, dancing and entertainment. The Polish Festival offers a music or dancing style to match your taste, whether it’s traditional or modern Polish styles. And you won’t want to miss the special events such as the pierogi-eating contest and the “Dancing With The Echoes” polka

dance contest. The best polka bands from across the Midwest entertain throughout the weekend, including such greats as A Touch of Brass, the Polish American Concert Band, Duane Malinowski and many others.

Amateur Polka Dance Contest
The polka dance contest is held Saturday at 6 pm in the big tent. Fill out an entry form at the Information Booth on Saturday before 5 pm. There are first, second, and third place CASH prizes, so don’t miss out.

Pierogi-Eating Contest
Anyone can enter the ever-popular pierogi-eating contest. There is an entry fee of $10 with each contestant receiving a festival T-shirt. There are also first, second, and third place CASH prizes. The pierogi-eating contest is held on Sunday in the big tent at 4:30 pm. Fill out an entry form at the Information Booth any time before 4 pm.

Pierogi-Tasting Contest
Officiants and The Toledo Blade's food editor, Mary Bilyeu will be tasting the samplings of our food vendors. It will be a tough decision, and some serious eating will be needed- but someone has to do it. Results and the award will be announced in the big tent on Sunday at 3:30pm.
